Nail Art, Anyone?

Nail art is fast becoming a healthy trend these days. Back then, all that our nails could be subjected to was a simple manicure or pedicure that involved trimming and/or shaping the nails, polishing them and applying a glossy coat. When done properly by a professional, manicured nails are a pretty sight to behold indeed.

Nail art, on the other hand, takes things a step further by adding a very artistic aspect to the way nail care is performed. Not only are nails given special care, they can be decorated or designed with glitter combinations, crystalline motifs, and even abstract prints. As a canvas is the medium for paint artists, the same holds true for nail artists and nails. There is absolutely no limit to what designs can be imprinted on nails.

In order to achieve various effects, a nail stylist is able to utilize several or more techniques. One method is through the use of acrylic nails that are attached to increase the nail art area. They also serve another purpose which is to cover up chipped nails.
With this, the nails are ready for polishing and for the imprinting of the desired design and color shading. From here on, imagination takes charge and there have been cases where the designs involved the sticking of gems or decals. Besides this, creative nail artists have been known to use dried flower blossoms or even simple stickers to accentuate their work.

It is also important to note that most nail art is done by hand. A nail artist may make use of a sharp brush in order to paint fine dots. After a few coats of clear nail polish, a toothpick is used for creating stripes or outlines. The artist may by this time affix designs like stars or hearts as soon as the paint dries to a considerable extent. There are also a myriad of other shapes that can be created so the artist is not just restricted to basic shapes. The more creative and unique designs are always in high demand.

Airbrushing is also used in nail art and it uses a fine spray of paint via an air gun to make some of the designs. Nail art is also becoming popular with brides for the delicate and exquisite designs being applied to their nails. For this, a French manicure base is normally used.

A large collection of nail designs are available for viewing at many nail art galleries. They sometimes even include their own procedures on how to do them in case viewers are interested in trying them out themselves. Other online sites are also showing nail art photos created by various stylists.
There is almost no limit to the number of designs or ideas continuously being created so it shouldn't be difficult to find one that you'd like to have. These designs eventually end up being readily made available for viewing at galleries. It would be worth checking online for a listing of these nail art galleries.
